Medical Benefits Network or MBN has been doing business in the state of Pennsylvania since 1989. We feel and know that with our powerful experience and the sales to prove it; we have the background and the knowledge that any individual or company needing help can be assured we are up for the job!
Originated in Monroeville, PA we have since branched out to many cities around Pittsburgh. MBN has a big presence in Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Washington, and Westmoreland counties. From 1989 to 1995, MBN has mainly focused their business on individual and family health insurance with Blue Cross Blue Shield of W/PA (now Highmark) and Health America.
Knowing the individual market was a difficult market, Thomas J. Prestia wanted the challenge. MBN wanted to help small business and families save on the high cost of insurance and help PA residents that had problems getting health insurance due to their pre-existing conditions. We are proud to say we can help any individual/family with any condition; MBN thrives on problem solving cases. We set to become a leader in Pittsburgh for the individual market with all the major insurance companies.
In 1995, MBN formed a membership that added a few benefits like dental and vision to our health plan, at no additional monthly cost. Our company motto then became "Get the most amount of insurance for the least amount of money.ý Weýve kept adding additional value-added benefits to our members and today, there are up to 11 when you buy insurance with MBN.
After our success with the individual market, we added group. This was an easy market to help due to years of problem solving in the individual market. Group business cannot be turned down.

Since the HealthCare Reform of 2010, MBN has taken the title, "Trusted Healthcare Advisor," instead of agent or broker. We support Health Care Reform and agree it is much needed.
